I truly value public service and safety which, Alhamdulillah, has ultimately led me to volunteering. The blessing of sacrificing our time for others and prioritizing our communities is one we should embrace and take advantage of. Outside of the IMCA, I am a cybersecurity professional with a focus in cloud engineering and architecture. Fun facts about me include that I was born in Italy and embraced Islam in the summer of 2022.
I volunteer here because this place is my home away from home. It gave me everything when I was a kid, and I want to give back. Outside of the IMCA, I am a tax senior at DOZ. An interesting thing about me is that I was born deaf.
I volunteer because it’s my passion to help the youth and the community in every way that I can. It’s also one of the most fulfilling parts of my life. Outside of the IMCA, I am a case manager at Hensley Legal Group on a pre-law track. A fun fact about me is that I speak three different languages fluently and I’m from Guinea Conakry!
I volunteer because I want to make a difference and be a better example for the youth. Outside of the IMCA, I am a service coordinator/social worker. A fun fact about me is that I am from Guinea Conakry.
I graduated from IUPUI with my BA in psychology and a minor in sociology. I am currently a graduate student at IU Indianapolis in the MSW program pursuing LCSW. I started volunteering because of my passion for helping the youth and also wanted to be involved with something I wish I had in my community growing up. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, painting, cooking, and traveling. Jazakallah Kkair!
I volunteer to share my altruistic compassion with the community and elevate our community to a higher standard. In my free time, I enjoy my time playing chess and spending time with family. A fun fact about me is that I am half Sudanese and half Moroccan.
I chose to volunteer for the Y-IMCA because it’s something I wish was available to me growing up. Something I really look forward to is connecting with the youth and being able to help them deal with life’s challenges especially during these times. Outside of the IMCA, I’m a labor and delivery nurse. A fun fact about me is that I love to travel.
I volunteer so I can be of assistance to the youth and give them an ear they can talk to and be an empowering voice for them. I love volunteering because it has widened my view on life and has helped improve my own character as well. One of the quotes that inspired me is “In youth we learn; in age we understand”. Outside of the IMCA, I am a law enforcement officer that specializes as a school resources officer. A fun fact about me is that I enjoy watching and studying martial arts, especially kickboxing. Jazaka’Allahu Khayran, I can’t wait to be of assistance to the community Inshallah!
